This Week’s Sims News: Upcoming DLCs, EA’s AI Partnership & Roblox Drama
This week, several notable events have taken place around The Sims: EA announced a partnership with Stability AI, the release schedule for upcoming DLCs has changed, a new limited “Gothic Grandeur” Kits bundle was launched, and the community is actively discussing the departure of prominent creators from the EA Creator Network as well as a scandal involving stolen content in Roblox. Here’s the key information.
EA and Stability AI Partnership
Stability AI is the company behind the popular Stable Diffusion technology, one of the most well-known generative AI systems capable of creating images from text prompts. Now, Stability AI has announced a partnership with Electronic Arts.
Together, the companies aim to reimagine game development with AI:
- AI will act as a “smart assistant” — speeding up idea iterations, handling routine tasks, and expanding creative possibilities without replacing humans.
- One focus area is the automatic generation of PBR textures (with realistic color and lighting), so objects look as close as possible to the artist’s vision.
- Tools are also planned that can create entire scenes and environments from descriptions, making it easier to visualize ideas.
For The Sims, these tools could mean faster creation of objects, landscapes, clothing, interiors, and even storylines. Less time is spent on technical work, more on concept, detail, and atmosphere.
EA emphasizes that “creativity has always been at the heart of everything our teams do,” and AI is only intended to enhance, not replace, artistic contributions. However, there are concerns that the introduction of AI could lead to layoffs within the company.

New Changes to The Sims 4 DLC Schedule
According to fresh insights from Anadius, the DLC release plans for The Sims 4 have been adjusted again.
- The new update, as indicated in the roadmap — version 1.119.96.1030 — is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 21:00 (in 11 days).
- Two new Creator Kits are now planned for November 13, 2025, although leaks initially suggested November 6.
- The next major Expansion Pack (EP21) has been “moved” — it will now release as the 109th DLC, not the 110th.
According to current data, only three interim DLCs (likely also Kits) are planned between the November Kits and EP21.
Community members also note that developers are gathering player feedback, with particular interest in themes like legacy, ancestry, rags-to-riches gameplay, as well as improvements to animations and updates to the base game.

- Price: $7, available for a few days (likely until the end of Halloween).

Stolen Sims 4 CC Found in Roblox Game
In the Roblox game IT GIRL, elements of Custom Content (CC) from The Sims 4 were discovered — illegally modified and added to the game. These items were integrated and offered to players for Robux, Roblox’s in-game currency.
Among the “stolen” assets are works by CC creators Learxfl, SUNBERRY, and Madlen.
This issue has caused concern among CC creators and The Sims fans, as it violates copyright and content creation ethics. The problem is compounded by the fact that The Sims 4 Terms of Use prohibit selling custom content.
If such practices go unaddressed, they could undermine trust within the modding and creator community.

Some Creators Leave EA Creator Network
A notable event in The Sims community: several popular creators announced they are leaving the EA Creator Network.
Among those departing are James Turner, Devon Bumpkin, Steph0sims, Plumbella, and LilSimsie. They stated that, in the current situation, they cannot continue collaborating with the program: promotions, use of creator codes, and other partnership activities will cease.
For many of these creators, this was a difficult decision, as The Sims represents more than a job — it is part of their identity.
Community Impact
Without these voices inside the program, fans may see fewer early announcements, official previews, and direct interactions with EA through these creators.
On the other hand, this may spark a new wave of independent content, free from official constraints.
